  I still remember the days before getting started the classes. Those days were a mix of feelings: fears, shyness, anxiety, and so on. The first encounter I was nervous although I tried to hide that feeling from my students to transmit to them a secure image, the image they had found a good tutor. The rest is a story. From that day on, I think I have improved a lot of things in my methodologies as well as in my point of view about myself as a teacher and about my students as the learners I was in charge of. I feel my communicational skills have improved at the same time that my self-confidence and my self-esteem as a teacher in training that is looking for trying to reach a better version of himself. If you ask me, I think I gave my best and tried to give my students the chance to grow up not only as students but as humans.   Next, I would like to share some samples about my lesson plans, didactic teaching materials designed by me, and two videos of my classes to show you the work done during this semester. I liked this planning because I tried to use a different way to encourage the students to participate actively through a group interaction using a platform such as Jamboard. The topic was "Linkers" and the idea is that using Jamboard, the students had to propose to their mates some linkers and sentences. Then, each one of them wrote a short story about any topic using the linkers and sentences proposed by the other learners. The lesson plan that was difficult: Click here to check it out. The main topic was phrasal verbs and the design was horrible.   During my classes, I had to face several circumstances: some of them were very difficult for me and others taught me to improve my communicative skills. Others, on the contrary, showed me the weaknesses and the strengths I have.   During this semester, I had the pleasure to share and teach two groups of students on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The first group attended class at 6:00 pm and the other one attended the class at 8:00 pm. The encounters lasted an hour and a half in where the students had the chance to learn about several topics that are going to help them in the improvement of the language skills.   What about my philosophy? My philosophy is very easy to understand: Give your best always, keep moving, and never give up. God is in charge of the rest. Sometimes we feel that we are not enough for the things we want to, or that we don't have enough talent or capabilities to reach our goals. But, if you think for a second, nobody said that it would be easy or that you would reach your goals easily. If you have a good attitude to face the problems and you encourage yourself day after day no matter what, maybe you won't be able to reach each goal but, at least, you will get something close to them .   Hi there, I'm Jonathan. Welcome to my site, where you can know me a little more and check out the things I do, have done, and would like to do in the future.
